Research Associate
Jie Hu is a Research Associate at the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on developing statistical and machine learning methods for learning from heterogeneous and distributed biomedical data. His work spans distributed learning, transfer learning and fine-tuning, high-dimensional inference, and causal inference, with applications in electronic health records, precision medicine, and multi-institutional healthcare data. His research aims to develop rigorous, privacy-preserving, and generalizable methods that enable reliable statistical learning and inference across diverse populations and healthcare systems.
