Jaehyun Joo, PhD
Senior Bioinformatician
Dr. Jaehyun Joo is a bioinformatician in the Center for AI-Driven Translational Informatics (CATI) within the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics. His research focuses on biomedical data science, leveraging large and complex datasets–including genetic and health data–to address complex health challenges, such as respiratory disease, through statistical, machine learning, and biomedical informatics approaches. He is interested in using these approaches to effectively explore large-scale health data, investigate the underlying mechanisms and risks of health outcomes, and apply these insights to advance precision medicine. He is currently looking to transition into an industry role where he can apply his scientific knowledge and analytic skills.
