DBEI congratulates Bonnie Ky, MD, MSCE, Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology, and Jinbo Chen, PhD, Professor of Biostatistics, on receiving an NHLBI R01 grant, Cardiovascular Risk Prediction and Reduction in Men with Prostate Cancer. Men treated for prostate cancer face an elevated risk of cardiovascular disease, and existing tools to predict who is most at risk remain limited. This project will develop and validate better risk prediction models for this population, drawing on Dr. Ky’s cardio-oncology expertise and Dr. Chen’s biostatistical methods, with the goal of guiding earlier, more targeted cardiovascular care.
