Haley L. Thomas, PhD, MSPH
Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Haley L. Thomas is a reproductive epidemiologist who explores the structural, social, and interpersonal factors that impact sexual health, reproductive health, and childbearing trajectories across the life course. She applies innovative measurement and analytic approaches to estimate sensitive and stigmatized behaviors and experiences (e.g., abortion, infertility, intimate partner violence) and is particularly interested in exploring how such experiences shape care-seeking behaviors and service utilization. Her work also focuses on health care quality and access, identifying disparities by asking who receives comprehensive care, who experiences harm, and why. As a postdoctoral fellow at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine, she is supporting obstetric health care quality and equity research.
